TRANSITION TO LIFE PYRAMID PROGRAM
Our Transition to Life Pyramid Program provides complementary academic instruction and student engagement in technology, in partnership with employment experiences for high school students in foster care and for students with developmental disabilities. Transition to live features of the following program elements:

Our Services include:

  • Computer-based General Education Development (GED) preparation
  • Online data base portfolio
  • Regional Occupational Center vocational training
  • Volunteer work experience
  • School-to-Work job placement
  • Student salaries and transportation provided by the program
  • Exit strategy/individual blueprint for completed educational and career goals

Students learn how to access their transcripts, resumes, student biographies and photographs, volunteer history, letters of recommendation, interview questions, and agency contacts from any Internet-based location.

Extending our support to youth as they transition to adulthood, Transition to Life provides every participant with uninterrupted access to web-based information vital to pursuing educational and career goals. All program participants have access to the database after graduating from high school or emancipating from the child welfare system. An email link in every profile allows current and former students the long-term benefit of contacting our agency for technical support and transitional services.
