NON-PUBLIC AGENCY SERVICES/CRENSHAW ENTREPRENEURIAL ACADEMY
NPA SERVICES (NON-PUBLIC AGENCY) Crenshaw Entrepreneurial Academy a California Department of Education approved Non-Public Agency. What does this mean?
If a student’s special education needs cannot be met within a given district, the district may contract with an approved Non-Public Agency (NPA) for special education and related services as an option for the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) for students as established through the Individual Education Program (IEP) process.
C.E.A ENROLLMENT AND IEP
A non-public Agency , Crenshaw Entrepreneurial Academy is accredited by the California Department of Education. Kindergarten through 12th grade educational services are available to boys and girls, ages 5 to 22, who meet the eligibility criteria for falling behind in a regular classroom setting due to the set backs of Covid-19 , learning delay or emotionally challenged.
Crenshaw Entrepreneurial Academy works in partnership with school districts and parents to determine the best educational path for students. The Individual Education Plan (IEP) teams from the various school districts contracting with the Haynes Education Center help to determine placement at our school.
CEA SHORT-TERM RESIDENTIAL THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM
The Crenshaw Entrepreneurial Academy Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) provides a safe and therapeutic environment for abused, abandoned, and/or neglected boys. The program also services those who require supplemental support and guidance prior to returning home or to a lower level of care.
We welcome adoptive families seeking support for their children who may need structure and discipline that promote a healthy permanent reunification.
C.E.A MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
At Crenshaw Entrepreneurial Academy we know that children and families can face significant emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges. Trauma, abandonment, abuse, neglect, prolonged exposure to environmental stressors and violence, and/or limited access to needed care and resources can impact children and adolescents in very significant ways, and contribute to difficulties with their overall ability to connect, learn, make decisions, and realize their strengths.
CEA THERAPEUTIC OUTREACH SERVICES
The same results oriented professional services employed in a residential program, school program, and mental health services program are available to the wider community through direct fee for service, IEP’s (school district funded,) or regional center referral. We provide an extensive range of outreach services that include: Counseling,
Educational
Occupational and behavior therapies
Speech and language therapies
Art, music, drama, and dance movement therapies
IN-HOME BEHAVIORAL SERVICES
Crenshaw entrepreneurial academy offers in-home behavior services that rely on naturalistic and evidence-based practices, which include applied behavior analysis (aba); pivotal response treatment (prt), and parent training and education. We recognize that each child is unique and has his/her own strengths and abilities therefore we individualize each program to address the unique needs of the client.
Common skill areas targeted include behavioral regulation, communication skills, social skills, self-help skills, self-management skills, and play skills.

C.E.A ‘S TRANSITION TO LIFE PYRAMID PROGRAM
Our Transition to Life Pyramid Program provides complementary academic instruction and student engagement in technology, in partnership with employment experiences for high school students in foster care and for students with developmental disabilities. Transition to live features of the following program elements:
Computer-based General Education Development (GED) preparation
Online data base portfolio
Regional Occupational Center vocational training
Volunteer work experience
